Prior to creating WWA with Joe Williams, Ash Wright launched RAW Political Strategies, strategically advising conservative political candidates and political action committees. Wright works with several candidates across the state including: Republican National Committee, Republican Party of Texas, several congressional and statewide elected officials and served as the Executive Director of the Texas Republican County Chairmen’s Association.

Wright has a long history of running successful grassroots organizations for the Republican Party and high profile campaigns. In 2010, he worked for the Republican National Committee as Victory Director in New Mexico. There he was instrumental in electing Susan Martinez, the first Hispanic female Governor in our nation’s history. During the election, his statewide organization consisted of 5 regional offices with 12 political operatives. The team organized 5000 volunteers and contacted over 1 million voters by phone and/or door. In 2008/09, Wright served as Political Director for the Republican Party of Texas where he visited all 254 counties working to help build the Republican Party at every level. During his time at the RPT, he successfully created over 10 new County Parties and saw over 70 conservative Democrats switch to the Republican ticket at the local level.

As a freshman in college, Ash was elected precinct chairman at the age of 18 and volunteered his evenings sweeping floors and cleaning bathrooms at the Taylor County Republican Party Office. By 2005, Ash was working as Office Manager before graduating from Hardin-Simmons University. He has worked on campaigns at every level, from presidential all the way down the ballot. Patty Wright, Ash Wright’s wife, is a longtime Republican volunteer and worked on the George P. Bush Campaign before working at the Texas General Land Office. Patty now works as an Associate and Office Manager at RAW Political Strategies. They live in Cedar Park, TX with their son, Nathan, who they recently fostered to adopt. The family attends Hill Country Bible Church.

Prior to Williams launching Wright, Williams & Associates with business partner Ash Wright, Joe Williams served as Managing Partner of First Tradition. First Tradition, a Strategic Communications Firm specializing in Political Consulting and Corporate Business Development, began in April 2006. Over the last decade plus, Williams has advised and managed political and corporate campaigns at multiple levels – local, County, Statewide and Federal. And current and past clients include Governors, Congressmen, State Legislative Members, Judges, Mayors and regional/statewide PACs.

Williams first began his political career while in college at Texas A&M University, where he helped a local candidate run for Justice of the Peace. After school, Joe took at position with the Houston City Council for a senior member of the Council, where he served as Budget Liaison having daily, direct interaction with more than 20 City of Houston department heads. As the Council Member’s term expired due to term limits, Williams went on to work in the Texas Legislature during session. Here he honed his communication skills, as his core function included constituent relations. At the end of the Legislative session, Williams went into the campaign world, where he has resided ever since. In the last 24 months alone, Joe has been involved in political races in 7 states, including being a substantial contributor during the 2016 General Election in the battleground State of Pennsylvania, where he and Ash employed, managed, and directed a field staff team with more than 350 field reps.

Williams lives in Washington County, Texas along with his wife Lindsey and their two children; Mallie (5) and Davis (3). Joe and Lindsey are both proud Aggies.

travis griffin senior associate

A seasoned Republican operative, Travis Griffin has worked in politics for nearly two decades on the local, state and national level. Griffin began his career at the Republican Party of Texas in 1998 and since then has worked on numerous campaigns for the Texas House, Texas Senate, U.S. Congress and statewide offices, as well as several Presidential races. He has also worked six legislative sessions of the Texas Legislature, including several as Chief of Staff in the Texas House.

Specializing in grassroots mobilization and voter contact, Griffin has managed field operations for the Republican Party of Texas, President George W. Bush and Governor Rick Perry, and has directed several statewide political action committees. He returned to the Republican Party of Texas as Political Director in 2010 and oversaw the attainment of the historic Republican super majority in the Texas House of Representatives. Griffin went on to be recruited cross-country to serve 2012 Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Travis lives in Leander, Texas along with his wife Jenny, who serves as the Executive Director of the Texas Republican County Chairmen’s Association. They have two children, Miller and Madison, and are active members of Leander United Methodist Church.

Jazmin Perez associate

Prior to joining Wright, Williams and Associates, Jazmin worked on numerous races in Texas, Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania at all levels. Her career in politics kicked off just before graduating from Sam Houston State University, when she helped Congressman Kevin Brady’s campaign by building student coalitions. 

In 2016, she travelled to Pennsylvania and was an integral part of the leadership team that managed 350 field team members to ensure victorious outcomes for Senator Pat Toomey and President Trump.

After Pennsylvania, Jazmin moved to Washington, D.C. to work on Capitol Hill. She was one of seven young women selected from across the country for the Star Fellowship Program with Running Start, a non-partisan organization that trains young women to run for office. Jazmin completed her fellowship in The Office of Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers and House Republican Conference. Following the fellowship, she joined The Office of Congressman Will Hurd. She enjoyed her experience as a Capitol Hill Staffer, but yearned for the thrill of campaign season.
